Voices of a Grateful Nation (the CD Series) & The Welcome Home Project along with The Kerrville Folk Festival and Cheatham Street Warehouse Presents:
PICKIN' FOR THE RECORD
We are going to attempt a new Guinness World Record for the Biggest Guitar Pickin' Session in Recorded History in support of our troops and their families.
Proceeds Support the Welcome Home Project's Veteran's Endowment for Traumatic Brain Injuries and the Sound Healing Program that teaches vets how to play the guitar as a component of their TBI recovery.
LUCKENBACH TEXAS * SUNDAY AUGUST 23
Noon 'till Dark * We'll attempt the record at 2:00PM so don't be late!
The Registration Fee for this record-breaking event is only $10.00 and that includes an official limited-edition T-Shirt for all the registered Pickers as well as a set of event Dog Tags!
REGISTRATION FOR PICKERS WILL BEGIN AT 9:00 AM ON THE DAY OF THE EVENT SO COME EARLY, CHECK IN, GET YOUR T-SHIRT AND DOG TAGS, AVOID THE RUSH AND RELAX!
The current world record is held by a group of Germans who got together 1,802 pickers to play a rendition of "Smoke on the Water" in 2007. We know we can top it in the Texas Hill Country!
WE'VE CLOSED OUR ONLINE REGISTRATION, SO SIMPLY COME ON DOWN TO
LUCKENBACH TEXAS ON SUNDAY, AND WE'LL GET YOU SIGNED UP. REGISTRATION
OPENS AT 9:00 AM, SO COME EARLY AND AVOID THE RUSH.
